If you live on the net, you need Mevu!
Con il proliferare dei siti di social networks, piattaforme di blog, siti per caricare fotografie ognuno di noi ha un enormità di identità sparse per i quattro nodi della rete. Se siamo fortunati possiamo registraci ad ogni servizio con lo stesso nick, ma questo non è sempre possibile.
Per risolvere il problema alla radice, in maniera semplice e gratuita, possiamo iscriverci a Mevu.
Una volta registrati a Mevu possiamo creare la nostra pagina personale in cui riportare, divisi per categorie, tutti i link ai vari profili che abbiamo sugli altri siti. Possiamo inoltre riportare tutti i nick che utilizziamo sui vari im.
In questo modo possiamo comunicare ad amici e conoscenti la nostra pagina su Mevu ed evitare di dover ricordare ed elencare l’infinità di link che fanno riferimento alla nostra persona. Di conseguenza chi dispone del link su Mevu sarà sempre aggiornato su tutti i nostri profili, anche quando decideremo di cancellarne o aggiungerne qualcuno.

Fa commozione l’idea che una semplice “rubrica” di contatti possa far felice qualcuno. Eppure non è un’impresa facile. Ho provato Zyb.com e Keepm.com senza troppa soddisfazione. Vediamo questo Mevu…

23 ott 2007 - 17:02 - #2We’ve made a number of changes to MeVu.com that will offer more functionality for your own Profile Page that you have created on our site.
So, what’s in the new implementation?
- If a link is to any of your sites that offers a feed, visitors can now preview the feed in a pop up window, and subscribe to the feed right there.
- Your profile page now has its own secure contact form, from which a can send an email to you without seeing your email address. If you have previously entered a “public” email for placement on the page, it is now replaced by the contact form.
- A large, freeform About Me and Location field have been added
- You can now set your own Meta tags for your Profile Page, improving its Search Engine Optimization. Supported tags are Title, Description and Keywords.
- Visitors can subscribe to a feed of your profile links, so they can be updated when new links are added
- Members who make good use of their Mevu site will be featured on the Mevu home page
- Some internal changes have been made to help member’s profile’s to have better search engine results placement
We’ve also fixed some small bugs here and there.
