Un ottimo post di Voip-news, che vi invitiamo a leggere per intero, ha messo in evidenza numerose funzioni di Skype non molto conosciute al grande pubblico. Mentre da Slashdot rimbalza una notizia più che curiosa: in fase di login, Skype leggerebbe informazioni dal bios del nostro computer. Ma andiamo con ordine.
Sapevate che Skype può tradurre le lingue, mettere in conferenza 15 persone e insegnare matematica? Un preciso tutorial insegna come attivare ognuna di queste funzioni, dal blocco e trasferimento di chiamata alla possibilità, tramite l’accoppiamento con una webcam, di costruirsi un sistema di videosorveglianza fai-da-te, dalla possibilità di costruirsi un piccolo centralino per l’assistenza clienti, a quella - ancora - di utilizzare un “love detector” che analizza la voce del proprio interlocutore alla ricerca di emozioni “particolari”. Ma non è tutto.

08 feb 2007 - 10:37 - #3ivan cosa intendi per serietà e onestà? Io, quasi sicuramente come te, non so cosa ci facciano con quelle informazioni! E’ inutile sparare a zero se non si riesce prima a capire come vengono utilizzati i dati!
L’unica informazione che io conosco in merito, era una particolare restrizione sulla conferenza. Con processori AMD, Skype volutamente non faceva avere conferenze con un certo numero di utenti (ora non ricordo bene quanti), cosa che invece non succede con processori INTEL. Alcuni utenti AMD hanno poi scoperto come aggirare il tutto e si è tornati alla normalità!
Probabilmente, le informazioni greppate, servono proprio a questa cosa! ;-)
