Su TgDaily leggo che nei giorni scorsi la Dell ha raccomandato di predisporre i pc con una memoria da 2 GB nel caso si abbia l’intenzione di passare a Windows Vista. Lo stesso consiglio era stato dato da Samsung lo scorso marzo.
Nell’articolo si evidenzia come sia diventata legge la regola che “il passaggio da una versione all’altra di Windows deve essere accompagnato dal raddoppio della memoria del pc”. Molti ricorderanno che con l’arrivo di Windows XP progressivamente tutti i pc sono stati dotati almeno di una ram da 256 MB.
Comunque a quanto sembra la necessità di disporre di una memoria da 2 GB è legata alla nuova funzionalità Super Fetch che prevede numerosi accessi in memoria.
La notizia non è poi così sorprendente: già lo scorso marzo Cristian ci aveva parlato di alcuni test che mostravano come il s.o. richiedesse da solo 800 MB di memoria.

30 ott 2006 - 00:53 - #3bè io ho installato ubunto 6.10 nome in codice Edgy Eft su un portatile vecchio.. una volta caricata (con velocità sorprendente) occupa sui 130 MB di ram.. perchè dovrei passare a vista? ^o)

30 ott 2006 - 00:57 - #4Vista RC2 mi occupa 470MB su 1GB che ho installato, con la sidebar che da sola è 20MB e, naturalmente, Aero. Cristian dovrebbe correggersi :)
Probabimente però con 2GB Vista non fa sentire la pesantezza dell’interfaccia (io la noto un po’, ma era così anche con XP), il che spiega la scelta di Dell. Anche se ci sono molti altre variabili che rallentano un PC… velocità dell’HD, processore, ecc.

30 ott 2006 - 11:40 - #10Scusate ma io decisamente attenderei sto Vista prima di dare giudizi, se ne parla e straparla tanto ma alla fine finchè non si vede di persona non si può giudicare, mentre le opnioni in giro su internet mi sembrano tutte palesemente condizionate dalle opinioni Pro o Contro dei recensori.
Ed io che sono un linaro mi vedo difendere Vista, brrrrrr :-)

30 ott 2006 - 12:52 - #11Ad esser precisi Vista sfrutta la metà della Ram disponibile a prescindere dalla quantità di Ram che si ha montata sul pc, non è che bisogna avere per forza 2GB di Ram!
Se ho 512MB Vista ne prenderà 256 ma è ovvio che sarà più lento rispetto ad un utente con 2GB di Ram.

07 mag 2007 - 06:12 - #15Io ho aumentato la RAM con 80 euro e l’ho portata a 2 giga…ora i lsistema è agile e scattante…sapete da cosa me ne accorgo? Sembrerà stupido e da niubbi, ma credetemi è la prima volta (non accadeva manco con XP)che gli effetti grafici del Media Player (in riproduzione) sono velocissimi, fluidi e non vanno a scatti!

Here, a curious feature: single, unmarried experimental preferred to look at the guys, beauty opposite sex, and family, people most often by representatives of their sex.
The authors believe that this feature developed a behavior as a result of the evolution: a man trying to find a decent pair to acquire offspring. If this is resolved, he wondered potential rivals. Detailed information about this magazine will be published Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
In turn, a joint study of the Rockefeller University, Rockefeller University and Duke University, Duke University in North Carolina revealed that women are perceived differently by men smell. During experiments studied the perception of women one of the ingredients of male pheromone-androstenona smell, which is contained in urine or sweat.
The results were startling: women are part of this repugnant odor, and the other part is very attractive, resembling the smell of vanilla, and the third group have not felt any smell. The authors argue that the reason is that the differences in the receptor responsible for the olfactory system, from different people are different.
It has long been proven that mammals (including human) odor is one way of attracting the attention of representatives of the opposite sex. A detailed article about the journal Nature will publish.

I got an email from go daddy fraud dept stating my account info does not match that of the billing info and my account is now locked. Customer support has no idea other than what the email stated. I did just get another email today from my reseller store (which is run by GoDaddy) reminding me to check my WHOIS data. The WHOIS information for all domains was changed. The nameservers associated with all domains were changed. Some domains expired during the GoDaddy investigation, I was never given a chance to renew. I have requested the ability to transfer my domain names to another registrar, I am ignored. Many of my domain names had established a positive Google Pagerank, this has all been lost. GoDaddy has stolen my domain names, stolen my traffic, stolen my business, and continues to ignore === WARNING: Stop use Domain registrar GoDaddy customers, GoDaddy lock domains.
